Taraneh Erfan (she/her) is a first generation immigrant of Iranian ancestry who is grateful to call Sḵwx̱wú7mesh home. She is a registered clinical counsellor, certified expressive arts therapist, writer, and author of Conscious Grieving: The Path of Awakening through Loss and curator of the poetry book Assembly: Liberatory Words for Revolutionary Times.
Taraneh has been working exclusively in the mental health and personal development field since 2008. She has been an RCC since 2010 and is passionate about operating from an anti-oppressive framework. Her work is informed strongly by body-centred psychotherapy, somatic experiencing, focusing oriented therapy, and narrative therapy. She brings psycho-education into sessions with clients so as to support them in finding ways to feel empowered on their healing journey. Polyvagal theory and attachment theories frequent conversations in sessions. Clients are resourced with practical tools to generate change and healthy patterns in their lives.

Taraneh was the feature speaker at a womxn’s retreat I hosted, & she was not only inspiring, but was authentic, and relatable.
She shared personal experiences, connected with the audience, and made the talk moving, empowering and uplifting. Her spirit and voice are an energetic must for all special events.
